Sofitel Macau at Ponte 16 Hotel Macau

This is an exceptional hotel. The room surpassed my expectations. Every time I returned, it had been cleaned and all consumables (coffee, soap, shampoo, etc) had been replenished. The shower was stupendous (great water pressure and hot enough to steam the dirt off). I didn't spend much time in the lobby but it is beautiful. Rendezvous Lounge, the lobby bar, has a good selection of scotches, vodkas and other spirits.

The hotel is located a few blocks from the heart of the historic district, a pleasant walk early in the morning.

The only complaint I have is that the exterior lights were situated such that I had to close the drapes at night, so that I could sleep. I had a view of the pools & the river, a nice touch first thing in the morning.

I recommend this hotel unreservedly and would gladly stay there again.
