São Sebastião Vacation Guide

São Sebastião (Portuguese for Saint Sebastian) is a Brazilian city, located on the southeast coast of Brazil, in the state of São Paulo. The population in 2006 is 75,886. The municipality existed since 1636 and formed a part of the old hereditary captaincy of Santo Amaro.

There are a number of islands spread all over the city's coastline. The largest and most famous is the Ilha de São Sebastião (São Sebastião Island), which is part of the municipality of Ilhabela.
