Snowflake @ Pavilion Kl Kuala Lumpur Reviews
right amount of sweetness Jul 24, 2012
There is no better way than to conclude our sumptuous meal with a dessert at Snowflake Desserts. Snowflake Dessert is an authentic Taiwanese dessert popularized by a man who migrated to Malaysia.
It was Hayley’s idea that we try this Taiwanese dessert. I agreed, provided this time she will allow; it should be “on us.”
Immediately, a short joyride to the elevator took place. And before we knew it, we were at the 4th level of Pavilion Mall where the Snowflake Desserts is perching.
Snowflake Desserts may not found in a typical food service location where in you go inside a room or in a building. This one is just a “kiosk-type” café. In fact, it literally sits underneath a staircase. But don’t snob the location! It is swanky and very “yuppie.”
Second next thing was of course we placed our orders, and again based on Hayley’s recommendations; we picked the Grass Jelly Series. There is a variety of series choice you can make. Since, I like taro, and coconut milk we opted those two for toppings. Hayley had the Green Tea Taro Balls or something...
Meanwhile, we occupied one of their small tables with four chairs, and for a while Hayley and I watched the young crews make our dessert. They were fast, so in a snap of a finger our names were called out, we picked up our tray by the counter, and voila, our desserts are right on our table! Wow, their servings are huge too! I am not exaggerating but, took me forever to finish my share!
Along with the grass jellies, taro chunk, and, of course, the coconut milk poured over, the combination and the taste were just perfect!
Only RM6.00 for an enormous bowl of a decadent dessert prepared with the right amount of sweetness, I would go to that place over and again! Pity, we don’t have Snowflake here in the US!
