The Caribbean has crystal clear waters, which makes it ideal for diving. A cheap, or even free, thing you can do is go snorkeling. Most likely, you won't be disappointed. There are so many things to see under the water. Make sure you get a waterproof camera! Curacao has numerouse dive locations. You can snorkel right of the beach, or you can venture out a little further and snorkel around the sunken tugboat. There is even a plane crash site you can dive to. I mainly stuck to snorkeling at the hotel since it was free and right outside my door, but it was still a lot of fun! I saw all kinds of fish, and another guy in the group even saw an octopus! It's great fun that everyone can enjoy.

Before my week long trip to the island, I did my research to find out some of the must see attractions. The first thing I did was go snorkeling with my husband. Since he was Air Force personnel and his unit was stationed at the hotel, ou…snorkeling with my husband. Before I went to Curacao, I knew I was going to snorkel and I wanted to make sure to get some great underwater photos. The problem was, I don't have the waterproof case for my digital camera. While visiting Curacao, we went to the sea aquarium (which sucks by the way...don't bother going...read my review). The aquarium was not what you would expect for a sea life habitat by the ocean. It was small, crowded, and expensive.&nbs…photos of the animals in their natural habitat. It was the only thing worth doing at the aquarium. It was just too expensive. And we probably could have seen it all while snorkeling if we had snorkeled at the aquarium...which you can do.… Curacao Sea Aquarium |

I got to Curacao late at night on August 4th. There were plenty of cabs at the airport, so getting to the hotel was a breeze. Once I was there, I just waiting for my husband to come by. He had been staying at my hotel, but moved to…snorkeling (we went a few times). The equipment was free to all the military personnel there, so we didn't have to pay for anything. The hotel was right on the beach, so we didn't have to go anywhere. It was a great… Arrival |
