Smoke's Poutinerie Adelaide Toronto Reviews
A fun way to experience a Canadian staple Aug 17, 2012
When we were looking for recommendations for food in Toronto, my boyfriend's friend recommended this place. I've heard of poutine before but never had it.
The building is small, but the decor is quirky (red and black plaid with the founder's face pasted in different scenes, potato sacks). There are so many choices of poutine, you can get the traditional (French fries with gravy and cheese curds) or you can get additional toppings (I got the bacon cheeseburger). The servings are quite big and heavy, I couldn't even finish! It was delicious.
At first, I thought this was just for tourists, but I only saw locals in this place (and apparently poutine is found everywhere). If you want a quirky experience without too many tourists (although you can purchase a T-Shirt with the face on it and free stickers), I recommend this place.
