Kaisen Misakiko, Tokyo Dome City, Japan
Smart Sushi Tokyo Dome City Reviews
The future of sushi train. Sep 20, 2014
Kaisen Musakiko (or 'Smart Sushi', as the sign says) may seem to merely be a tourist friendly sushi train in the La Qua complex in Tokyo Dome City, but in actual fact, it is the pinnacle of sushi train technology.
Each seat at the counter has its own touchscreen, with the option to display in a number of languages. Rather than taking dishes from the sushi train, you can order specific dishes at the touch of a button. When you have made your choices, you press the order button, and in no time at all a miniature shinkansen appears before you carrying your dishes. Once you have taken them, you simply press the lit button above, and the shinkansen returns to the kitchen (thanking you as it does so). You can even order beer from the touchscreen, but that is brought to you the old fashioned way.
