Local food quite cheap Jun 09, 2009
To tell you the truth among all restaurants in the area this one did not look too good, but my girlfriend wanted to go, so I was forced to... :) but big surprise! food was awesome! Don´t ask for house wine though... it was not too good so I ended up having a nice cold local beer!
My girlfriend ordered duck and I had turkey goulach (not sure about the spelling). Everything for 50 euros, so 25 euros/each. When I went inside I saw on the walls that they had won many prizes, so it had to be a good restaurant. I am attaching some photos so you see it! By the way, it is nicer looking inside than outside! Sep 22, 2006This restaurant has absolutely outstanding Slovak/Hungarian food. If you ever get to Bratislava, make sure you book a table here and have the garlic soup. As a matter of fact, you can order anything and it will be good. This is rated as "cheap" because Bratislava is not very expensive; a good dinner with wine or beer is about $25 per person (tip and tax included). Slovakia split off from Czechoslavakia (now the Czech Republic) and even they call themselves “Partyvakia”. The town is full of people looking for the perfect party and many of them seem to have found it. The central district has bee…Slovenska ” and it was as good as its reputation. (Someday I’m going to find their recipe for garlic soup and learn to make it.) The food was slightly spicy and perfectly prepared. I can see why so many people like Bratislava… Friday (day 14) in Bratislavia, Slovakia |
