In the village of Cerova turn to Rozbehy. Parking place is right in the area of Wind energy Park.

The first wind energy park in Slovakia was established right above the village Cerova. On very top of Vapenkova Skala there are four 76m high towers with fibre-glass airscrew rotors some 47m in diameter. The airscrews are catching the wind which runs a 20 tons generator making since August 2003 electric energy of 200-600kW. The idea to establish the wind energy park was born after the results of wind blowings measurements in 1998. The results were surprisingly positive with only 2 days of none winds per year.

This was first place where I feel really small :-)

Important notice: In the winter there is a danger of flying pieces of ice off the airscrews within 150m in diameter.

There are some of these in northern Ohio. I'm a bit green around the edges, so this type of this interests me. :)
