WWT - ducks everywhere! Jun 09, 2009
For a few pounds and a donation to the wetlands trust you can enter a man made sanctuary to birds of the world. Ducks of all varieties dominate the ponds as you walk through a maze of paths separated by country and native species.

Make sure you pick up a bag of seed on your way out because many of the birds will eat out of your hand which is great fun if you have little kids.

There are two lots of Flamingos to check out and a climate controlled tropical rainforest room which is a nice change from the England weather. At the far end you'll see many bird spotters in hideouts trying to peep the Fisher Hawks. I didn't see one, but didn't need to as I was overloaded with birds of all types.

The cafe at the end makes a good meal too! This trust operates a few throughout England so check out the wesbite for more details.
