Sleeperz Hotel Cardiff

A newish hotel branch that's opened in Cardiff. It's a minute's walk away from the train station, so you are close to everything in the city centre.

Single rooms go for £55 a night, doubles/twins for £65. Add on breakfast for £5 when booking/checking-in, otherwise it's £7.95.

My room was very functional, smallish wet-room, that had a shower, toilet and hand-basin. Comfortable bed and a nice LCD TV. Coffee and tea making facilities and an iron/board were available.

They offer free Wi-Fi, which you need a username and password for, from reception. There's also CAT-5 plug if you want faster access.

You get 30 minutes of free telephone calls (to 01/02) numbers, which was a nice touch.

Everything ends in Z! Eatz, drinkz, notez, phonez. There's a small bar for beer, wine and spirits in reception - that also does small snack-type meals.

Even though you're close to the station and several pubs - you get very little street-noise. Maybe a few late-night police sirens, but then what do you expect from a city centre?
