Skylon Tower - Niagara Falls Aug 12, 2011
The Skylon Tower is an observation tower that gives you a bird’s eye view of Niagara Falls. The skylon tower was first opened in 1965 for visitors viewing pleasure of both the American Falls and the Horseshoe Falls. The tower stands 520ft (160 meters) from the ground with 2 restaurants with a spectacular view of the falls.

I think the prices to the top are pretty reasonable but not sure since we went with a tour group. The tour group that we went with got to by-pass all the lines and even gave us a pass to come back again. I do remember reading something about if you have dinner in one of the restaurants you get a free ride to the viewing deck.

Our first trip to the observation deck was during the morning hours of the day. It was great to be able to look down at the falls; the sun was in the perfect spot for some great photos. We decided to go back up after the fireworks show to get a night view of the falls. It was just as cool at night since they light the falls up and the glow from the cities made it even better.

It’s a bird it’s a plane it’s the skylon tower was featured in Superman II. If you want to see the falls from the sky then stop in at skylon tower.
