Skycity Grand Hotel Auckland

The Skycity Grand Hotel is located across the street from Auckland's Skycity. There is also the Skycity Hotel that is across the street, but the Skycity Grand Hotel is supposed to be more luxurious. If anything, it's much quieter because you don't have the casino and restaurants in the lobby.

Check-in was fast and efficient. I had booked a luxury king room. Nicely decorated with modern furniture. It was a good room but nothing put it over the top.

I went to the hotel's East Day Spa for a sauna and a massage. The massage was more of an aromatherapy massage instead of a deep tissue massage. It was okay but nothing special. The hotel has a gym and a pool, both of which I didn't use. I also didn't eat at the restaurants in the hotel. There are plenty of restaurants across the street at the Skycity or in the immediate neighborhood.

I would probably stay here again but I would also consider the hotels that are located on the waterfront area.
