Sjølyst Marina Bobil Parkering Oslo Reviews
Great alternative to common campgrounds Jul 01, 2012
Since we were only 1 night in Oslo we looked for a cheap alternative to the common campgrounds which are mostly in the suburbs. So I checked the internet for a caravan parking.
Note: This place is for camper vans, motorhomes and caravans only. There are no tents allowed.
The Sjølyst Marina caught my attention because the location is great. It's right in the city center at the water and close to the beautiful woods of Bygdøy. Every attraction in Oslo can be reached by public transport in a short time because a bus stop is only 200 m away.
The parking fee was NOK 200 (which you have to pay at a parking meter), electricity included. You can also fill up the fresh water container of your camper.
There is a sanitary building with toilets and a shower (NOK 10). Unfortunately the building is a bit far away from the parking site.
The Caravan Parking has room for 250 cars and in peak season the place can be very crowded.
The parking is open from June 1st to September 15. For safety it's closed with a bar between 11 pm and 7 am.
