Siyong Vacation Guide
Siyong is a small rural town in northern Cambodia. It is a very quiet town with few guesthouses and very few tourist amenities. It does, however, provide a convenient launch point to spend a whole day exploring Koh Ker rather than wasting time in transit back and forth from Siem Reap.
You can easily hire a moto driver for the day to take you around Koh Ker temple and a bus in the morning will take you to Siem Reap.
The one obvious guesthouse in town is clean and reasonably inexpensive and is an authentic stilt house. It has perhaps a total of 5 rooms. However don't expect running water, the bathroom is shared and consists of a large basin of water and a bucket.
