Good value hotel in Seattle Oct 15, 2011
Not really a backpacker dig but it was a good option for us as there was three of us traveling. (Booked through hostelbookers). It is excellent value for money (as low as about $21 pp if in a group of 4) but it's a hotel and not a backpackers. The room only has a bar fridge and a microwave so not many options for cooking. I also found Seattle to have a lot less cheap eating options than I expected. Pretty much just a choice between Maccas and Subway, the former is across the road.

The room was really clean and the beds are amazing. I would stay here again if in a big enuff party and willing to sacrifice the backpacker vibe etc.

Sixth Avenue Inn Nov 06, 2009
The hotel is in a great location. My room was clean and the bed was very comfortable!! My room only had a shower and that worked for me. I never used the gym but I did eat lunch at the restaurant. The food and service was good. It was a short walk from the hotel to the Space Needle and Pike Place Market. The only thing I do not like that alot of hotels do is charge for parking. And here it is $15 a day.

Affordable lodging in a good location within downtown Seattle May 15, 2006
Sixth Avenue Inn is an average inn with a great location. I was able to walk within 15-20 minutes to the Pike Place Market, and the original Seattle's Best restaurant. Across the street is a McDonald's which offers alternative dining options from the hotel. The rooms are dated, and the bathtub seems like it's from the 80s. It's a bit noisy as there are buses and cars passing by the intersection of Westlake Avenue and Virginia Street, not to mention a parking lot right beside many of the rooms on the ground and second levels. This is one low rise building in the midst of skyscrapers over 30 storeys tall.

Their restaurants are not 24/7, so I had to venture further at past midnight to find a decent place to eat.

Again, nothing spectacular except for the location.
