Six Flags Over Texas - Spring Season Arlington Reviews
Six Flags Over Texas Apr 01, 2008
Six Flags Over Texas is the first of many in a chain of Theme parks around America. They are most recognizable by the Warner Bros Studio characters that roam the streets and grace the Parks logos.
First opened in 1961; Six Flags Over Texas is a frequent vacation spot for locals as well as those travelers from out of town. I usually ask most of my out of town guests if they would like to go. It is always a fun day, as long as its not 100+ degrees outside. That is possibly the hardest thing to prepare yourself for when going out for a day at the park. Drink lots of water and if possible, wait for an overcast day. There are misters located throughout the park to help cool things down, but you'll have to fight through the kids and parents using them as personal cool showers. This is quite possibly one of the best people watching spots in America, the water misters at Six Flags really show the best and worst of people.
Famous for the Texas Giant, the "number one wooden roller coaster in the World" according to polls; and other rides like Superman Tower of Power, and the new ride for 2008/9 Tony Hawk's Big Spin. But if you really want to ride one of the best coasters in America, you must get in line for the Titan. 25 and 1/2 stories @ 85 mph, there really isn't a whole lot more that needs to be said. I usually have a Season Pass every year just so I can get my adrenaline fix a few times a week on the Titan. If you plan it right, you can be in/out of the park in just over an hour and ride the Titan 2-4 times with your Season Pass. :-)
There is a large observation tower that provides a pretty cool view of the entire DFW Metroplex, but make sure its a calm day as it closes a lot with the high winds we get here. The same holds true sometimes for the larger rides like Superman, and Titan. All in all this Six Flags is much like the others I have been to in Illinois, California, and Kentucky. It makes for a fun day for anyone looking to up the thrill level in their life; even if only for 1 day.

Six Flags...Texas Style Jul 12, 2008
Six Flags Over Texas has one of the very best roller coasters, the Titan! This is the biggest coaster built by Six Flags. It is over 250 feet tall, and is one of the fastest at 85mph. It also travels through a tunnel. I loved this one. If you are a thrill seeker when it comes to coasters, this is the one to ride.
The Texas Giant is a wooden coaster. It is small in comparison to the Titan, but still one of the better wooden coasters in the states. It is over 16 stories high and travels better than 60mph.
They also have Mr. Freeze and the Superman rides.
I rank this Six Flags as the best of all the Six Flags parks I've been to, with the St. Louis park coming in second.
