Reserved Old Colonial Town Side still can be found in Padang, West Sumatra. Originally, this bridge was an important port for Dutch colonialism in West Sumatra, to export Minang Highland richness to Holland. This is the former gate to Padang and to Minang highland.
This bridge was built to commemorate the Power of LOVE from a girl named Siti Nurbaya, to a man named Syamsul Bahri. Their story is very famous all over Indonesia and Malaysia. This legend was strengthening by the Tomb of Siti Nurbaya on top of the hill, near the bridge. For the best sight, choose to walk in the early morning. You can view the clean river and colorful fisherman ship, and the Barisan Mountainous at the background. Or. if you love crowd, just step your food on sunset time or evening. A lot of local youngster stay here, just relax or eat spicy grilled corn. This site just few minute walk from Padang Beach and few minutes drive from the central of the city

Day 3 - Padang “in the city” start from Padang beach – siti nurbaya bridge- Chinese cemetery – old city .. get bored – move to Jambak beach – I like this beach- not so far from the city –quiet – place to relax - ended at afternoon at Padang Beach - back to Jakarta .
