It's true what they say: Lisbon, or 'Lisa', as the capital of Portugal is often nicknamed, is definitely the world in a nutshell.

Portugal meant to me many things at the same time. You can breathe and experience the mediterranean, arab culture, strong catholic rule, history related to great explorers, black africa presence and humble people. I cannot forget neither the extraordinary food, the unique sound of fado music and the magnificence of the capital city Lisbon.

My first big trip. It was little bit too much spontaneous and disorganized but finally everything ends good. I just lost my cell and somebody stole me 100€ (which where half of all my money)... just ;), but nevertheless I really enjoy the trip. I believe that the next one will be more lucky.

Although Sintra is my hometown, it's also a very well-known travel destination. I took some evenings in Fall and Winter seasons to go take a few pictures of this special place, the Lord Byron's Eden...

July 12 to Aug 3, I will see 12 cities Starting in Lisbon heading East to Munich and then looping back to Paris.

What originally brought me to Lisbon was The Optimus Alive festival, with headliner Rage Against the Machine. Other than a fantastic rock festival, I discovered an area so enchanting with astonishing natural beauty, which took my by surprise as it's seemingly outside the usual euro tourism radar. Incredible coastlines, classic moorish architecture, stunningly lush mountainous forests, delicious seafood & warm weather with deep blue skies. Yep.

To start the day we went to the "Boca do Inferno" in Cascais. I didn't realise it but Alistair Crowley commited suicide there! I really must thank Pedro Ramos for all his help (fellow travbuddy), this was one of his "must do's". It really it amazing, we stood there for ages, hypnotised by the water…
