Sinnotts: The Greatest pub in Dublin for watching a match. Apr 28, 2007
If you are looking for the ultimate sports pub in Dublin, go no further than this cavernous pub with its faux Viking ceiling. A sports enthusiast’s haven on game day; this lively pub has three big screens (sometimes showing different matches simultaneously), cheerful bar staff eager to replenish your pint, and a fun-loving crowd dedicated to cheering for their team, your team or any team as long as the sport is good. Beware, on big match days the pub can get quite cramped, so be sure to arrive early. For those whose passion in life is not so much about men bashing and smashing each other over possession of a ball, but rather about pursuits involving the written word; Sinnotts displays over 200 portraits, photographs, drawings and biographies of famous Irish writers.

We both haven't eaten during the day and Derek asked me if I wanted to go to a classy place, Sinnotts Bar, where he would go with his friends which has 3 DIFFERENT TYPES OF POTATOES!!! Or to some place with burger and fries...hmmmm Ofcourse I chose the first one, I think it was the chance to eat 3 different types of potatoes… A tour of Dublin from Derek, learning a bit of history, culture, and of course tasting some Guinness |
