Large public park just north of the downtown area on the east side of the Rock River. The large outdoor amphitheater, the Sinnissippi Music Shell is the site of summer concerts, children's programs and other activities. During the December holiday season, the park hosts the Holiday Festival of Lights and in Febuary, the park is host to the Illinois Snow Sculpture competition.

A 9-hole municipal golf course is attached to the park and an extensive walking path, gardens, greenhouse and lagoon are opposite the park between N. 2nd St. and the river.

A cheerful river-side garden spot whose attractions include an annual garden meticulously planted with colorful bedding plants, a floral clock planted each year with thousands of annuals, an accredited rose garden plus a lagoon and fishpond graced by Mute Swans. The gardens are a favorite spot for outdoor weddings and the nature path along the river is a popular jogging and walking site. Adjacent to 10-mile Rock River Recreation Path. TTY # 815.963.DEAF.
Sinnissippi Park, on the east side of N. Second St., is a beautiful wooded public park and site of the Sinnissippi Park Music Shell, which features free evening concerts under the stars in the summertime, and the Festival of Lights during the winter holiday season.
Directions: From I-90 and U.S. Business 20 (E. State St.): Go west 6.5 miles to IL 251 (N. 2nd St.). Turn right (north) on IL 251 about one mile to Sinnissippi Gardens and greenouse on left, Sinnissippi Park on the right.
