Singing Cooks and Waiters Quezon City Reviews
One-of-a-kind (Get serenaded while dining) Dec 16, 2009
The name itself will assure you of fun and laughter. And if you’re looking for delicious Filipino food, this place is a must visit.
Its full name is quiet long ‘The Singing Cooks And Waiters Ihaw Ihaw Kalde Kaldero Kawa Kawali At Aawitan Kayo Restaurant’ but it’s simply remembered as Singing Cooks and Waiters. And literally, all of the waiters (and cooks) not only sing well but also dance well.
Our office is near the restaurant’s Quezon City branch so it’s the most practical place for us to be. They also have branches in Pasay and Mandaluyong.
Usually, people go there to listen to them sing since they are great singers and their numbers are well choreographed as well. It’s truly a one-of-a-kind restaurant where the waiters ‘serenade’ you while serving you your food. In the QC branch, the best voice of them all was the chef himself, such powerful voice.
What’s a plus is that you can request what songs you’d like them to sing - either in Filipino or in English. There will also be times they will ask you to sing with them or play the drums or their instruments (if you like to). AND yes, get ready to be involved in a dance number as well, haha.
For those who’d like to experience a different fun while dining, you’ll love it here. The entire atmosphere is festive and joyful – who wouldn’t want to be in a happy place as this?
And yes, the FOOD is GREAT especially for meat lovers. The soup is served in a ‘kaldero’ and you can see native decors in the place as well.
The place is not fancy-looking but has warmth and comfort in it. It’s very simple but enjoyable.
If you’re in Manila and would like to taste Filipino food while having fun at the same time, convince your friends to take you to this place! ;-)
