- Joo Chiat (well known to locals for good food)

- Singapore Flyers (Singapore version of London Eye others in the world)

- Esplanade/Merlion/Raffles Place (Singapore icon)

The #1 hobby for Singaporean is probably accurately shopping and eating. Shopping malls can be found all over the small island, connected to almost every MRT station. Price is almost similar everywhere, except VERY tourist place.

Singapore is also a food paradise. It is in Singapore that the term "hawker" was coined. There are many hawker centers in Singapore, which serve a huge variety of cheap and good food.

Some food that you should absolutely try while you are in Singapore

- Chilli crabs (chinese)

- Hainanese Chicken Rice (chinese)

- Cha Kuay Tiao (Noodles fried in sweet & dark soya sauce) (chinese)

- Nasi Lamak (malay)

- Mee Goreng (malay)

- Mee Siam (malay)

- Roti Prata (indian)

- Roti John (indian)

MRT (train, very accessible, cheap, comfortable and fast)

Bus (relatively reliable except slower due to traffic jams during peak hours)
