When you say Sinaia, you think Peles Castle and Prahova Valey. The traveller coming to Romania should never miss this. History was written here. They say the ghost of Queen Maria of Romania still lives in the castle. She was in love with this place.
Sinaia is the largest resort town in the Prahova Valley, located in the Southern Carpathians mountains, at 125 km North of Bucharest. It can be reached by train, on the main line Bucharest-Brasov and by car, on the European road E 60.

The town developed rapidly around the Peles castle built by Charles I of Hohenzollern, the first King of Romania, in the last decades of the 19th century. The vast castle and the beautiful palaces and villas built by famous Romanian and foreign architects, as well as the splendid landscape, brought to Sinaia the name of “Pearl of the Carpathians“.
