In January this year (2007) I was finally able to pack my bags and head for Africa. I spend 6 wonderful weeks down there together with an american friend. South Africa have so much: great people, beautiful nature, wildlife, interesting history, interesting culture.. and the list goes on.

Vroeg in de ochtend vertrekken we naar het zuiden, naar het Kaaps Schiereiland. Van daar uit wandelen we naar Kaap de Goede Hoop. We overnachten in het schilderachtige plaatsje Simonstown, dat bekend staat om de aanwezigheid van een kolonie pinguïns in het nabijgelegen plaatsje Boulders Beach.

This summer, or winter, depending on which side of the world you're on, I'll be leaving from the summerish Netherlands, to winterish South-Africa. First 4 weeks of volunteering work in a great project, called Masigcine children's home. Than about 3 and a half weeks of traveling with some Italian guy I never met in real life before.
