The Simien Mountains are located in Northern Ethiopia. They are home to a diverse variety of plants and Animals. Common animals are the Simien Wolve, and endangered species only found in the Ethiopian Highlands, the Ibex, a antelope species also foundin the highlands and Gelada Baboons. One of the Greatest features of the Simien Mountains is the scenery. As you make your way through the mountains you will see some great veiws.
To get to the Simien Mountains, simply fly to Gondar, then take a bus or car for a few hours and you'll reach the mountains. Ras Dashen is the name of the Highest peak in the Simien Mountains.
When staying in the Mountains for a few days, it is possible to either Camp or stay in the guest houses that are found near camp site. It is wise to bring you own supplies for the entire trip, seeing as how you will be in the wilderness, Gondar is a large city and is a good place to collect some minor necceseties.
