Silver Waters Bed & Breakfast Reviews

Jan 12, 2008
The Silver Waters Bed & Breakfast in Cowes, Phillip Island, is a beautiful place to stay, and in a great location just a couple of streets from the town centre.

The house itself is beautiful, a huge 3 storey beach house nestled amongst the trees with gardens all around. The smell of lavender catches you as arrive and is featured inside also.

We stayed in the Sunrise Spa suite, the most expensive of the three suites at around AU $180 per night. The Suite was huge, with a king bed covered with wildly excessive amounts of pillows which just added to the swankiness of it all. The room also contained a couch (also with many pillows), a coffee table (with a bunch of free chocolates!) a little fridge and a tv, and a little air conditioner above the bed which came in handy the first night since it was so hot.

The bathroom was the biggest I have ever seen, with (as the name suggests) a spa bath which I got to use the second day when the weather had cooled down considerably.

There was a breakfast room just outside our door with a nice balcony area, and the place offered both continental breakfast and fully cooked breakfast of sausages, bacon and other greasy delights.

All and all it was a very nice suite to stay in and the hosts were very nice and seemed to enjoy their job which is always nice.

My only suggestion would be that you should not pick this B&B if you want to sleep in. The curtains did not block much light, and there was a really annoying bird outside our window both mornings which made high pitched screaming sounds from about 7am til 8am. I have removed one star because of the wild life! I'm sure bird lovers would appreciate it though?
