Silom City Hotel
Silom City Hotel Reviews
Nice mid-range hotel Apr 06, 2009
I booked Silom City Hotel through Hotels.com. It was one of the cheaper ones in the search results. The hotel is very clean. My room was a deluxe, which means I had access to Wi-Fi, and it was of a nice size. Complimentary bottled water was left each day. There was also other beverages and snacks for an additional fee. Breakfast was included. Besides the usual cereal, croissants, and egg, there was a more traditional Thai cuisine for breakfast, which I loved. The room had air conditioning, a safe, and a TV. I found it a great choice when you didn't want to extreme budget hotels or guest houses.
The staff are very helpful in meeting my needs. They also offer Thai massage which can be done in the privacy of my room. Another plus - large-size bath towels that are great for a plus-size person like myself...they actually wrap around me! And perfect pillows and soft sheets (so many hotels have terrible pillows and scratchy sheets). The only thing I missed in my room was a coffee pot and microwave, but it was easy to get what I needed from room service. I would definitely recommend this hotel for others traveling to Bangkok.
