Sigmund Freud Museum Vienna Reviews
Interesting, but not a "must" Apr 15, 2013
One thing you should know, is that this house was residence for Sigmund Freud and his family for a while before he was exiled; he wasn't born here though, Actually he's not from Vienna.
Going inside the museum costs around 8 euros.
You walk trough 6 rooms in which you see the way he and his wife used to live, their decoration. You get to read (and listen in your audio) interesting facts about his studies, habits, etc. There are also many objects that belonged to them and pictures.
So, I'd say if you are into psychoanalysis and you're a big Freud fan, you should go here; otherwise maybe try something else since Vienna is full of places to go.

Where the world's most famous shrink used to live May 07, 2011
The Freud museum in Vienna is actually smaller than you expect, but it is the flat where Freud used to live and work for almost 50 years! He is the most renowm psychoanalist and I am very much interested in his theories!
If you also are a Freud-freak, I would recommend the museum to you. BUT if you expect to see the famous "couch" there, you are wrong: it is in the London Freud museum. There are only a few pieces of the original furniture left in the flat.
For getting to know Freud this museum is a good place to go for you learn about the basic facts and also about Freud's thoughts. However, I only rated this museum average, because it's a rather small museum and if you don't know anything about Freud, it will be rather boring for you (as it was for my younger brother ;)
