I am very sorry for the delay! That's great you are going to Madrid! I hope you enjoy your time there! You should go to La Plaza Mayor, the Real Madrid Soccer Stadium, and the Museo del Prado! I hope you have a wonderful time! Buen viaje!

Madrid is a beautiful city full of culture and magnificent sights... all this is well and good but was put on the back-burner for a bit while I was busy getting to know my fellow hostel mates and enjoying the Madrid nightlife. They spent 3 days here with me and I took them to all my favorite places and showed them the sights. There was Sol, the Plaza Mayor, el Palacio Real and it's Plaza del Oriente, Catedrals Almudena and San Isidro, and my favorite El Retiro for some rowboating, tapas at Plaza Santa Ana, a stroll down the Gran Via... I showed them all the museums… Return to Madrid |

I should have explained this to the people, but hind sight is always 20/20. The second flight was smooth. The plane was a lot smaller and far less modern than many planes I've been on. There were no tvs, but that was good because I was able to fall asleep without distraction. I met up with… Arrival |

Sat we did the sights, the Royal palace is amazing.. its huge. so much better than Buckingham, plaza de cibeles, plaza Mayor. all really nice. I was really surprised at how nice it was. the streets are really clean, its not crowded everyone is really nice and civilized… Madrid Easter'07 |

The moon made it's appearance shortly before sunset and was very dramatic over some of the buildings in this area. My pictures don't really do it justice.
Later that night, we decided it was time for a Madrid tradition -- a tapas… Back to Madrid |
