Siam@Siam Design Hotel and Spa
Siam@Siam Design Hotel and Spa Reviews
Oct 18, 2007
This hotel located at the heart of Bangkok.
For those who enjoyed the malls with nice pedestrian walk and shopping center, just a few minutes away from the shopping center, and those who would like to enjoy main tourist attractions (Temples and Palace) and of course, the not-to-be-missed backpackers area "Khaosan road". This hotel is a bit different, from their official website, they put: "Bold, restful and sensually moody, full of sophisticated attitude and class". The style of the building is somewhat contemporer from outside, with black and marron painting. When we entered, the the uniqueness was more revealed with the unfinished walls, the plug and cord was hanging there and here, the air con pipe and heater was not covered. They displayed an old-antique car at the lobby and the breakfast lounge was very interesting with different set of chairs and sofa for breakfast. (I remember I was laughing at a big man who sat in a kindergarten-type of chairs:p). We took the @work package, with the superior room + free wi-fi + free drink between 17:00 - 19:00 in the executive lounge. The room quite catchy, with the nice view of the city and unique bathroom (they have the opening window from the bedside facing the bathroom) and a pond-like bath tub. The swimming pool was located on 2dn floor, edge-less type of swimming pool, very catchy. This hotel as a lot of spa package, but didn't have a chance to try. The executive lounge was nice, especially at night, you can just sit on the open aired porch, sip some wine and watching the city light. The picture I took it myself and some others I took from their website. |
