Delicious Thai food at La Mariscal - Siam Thai Food & Sushi Jul 16, 2009
After a long day, I met Jerry and we agreed to have dinner. Where to go?
Well, both of us love Asian cuisine and he has been wanting to try this place for quite a while ago. So, there we go! It's located in the busy Mariscal, just in front of some clubs. The restaurant is in the 2nd place of a building. At the entrance you'd see a statue and a small hall, but a big sign saying Thai. You have to climb some stairs before getting into the lobby. Upstairs it's small, but very warm and cozy. Like the decoration. You feel as if you were in Asia. Also the view you got is very nice. You can watch the people going to party to this funky area. They serve Thai food, but also sushi. We were there for the Thai food and that's what we got. First, they gave us some complimentary snacks and we ordered our drinks: tea. I got a shrimps with red curry and spicy coconut milk, very tasty! Jerry got Thai noodles, which were spicy too, hehe. Food was very good. If you like spicy, you'd love it. The service was good too. The waiter was kind, although a bit slow, but it's ok. On Tuesdays, they have a promotion for rolls and sushi: 2nd one is 1/2 price. This is a great spot to enjoy good Thai food and you can go party after it :) Part of the First time in Ecuador, but definitely not the last one :) travel blog
