Shuffle Bistro Bar Singapore Reviews
A place for Live Music Lovers Apr 24, 2012
Shuffle is a recently added establishment to Clarke Quay. Located at the center area of Clarke Quay, situated at 3D River Valley Road, #02-03, Clarke Quay, Singapore, Singapore 179023 .
For those who enjoy having live music as part of their companion, you would like to try this place.
This Bistro.Bar has a seating of 150 people. They have a menu for dinner and snacks and pizza served till late.
I visited the place yesterday with 2 other friends. A reservation was made via phone. Arrived at the place at 7.30pm. The interior of Shuffle was comfortable , the only pull back was the high seatings located at the far end of the Bistro, we were at first given a seat there. The view was good however if a leg rest is added would be perfect. What the seats left us with are hanging legs in mid air which we don’t really feel comfortable seated. Therefore we requested a change to the normal tables.
The place was quite empty at 8pm. The crowd only comes in after 8.30pm, where it is full house. The staffs were not extremely friendly nor unfriendly but were efficient. We didn’t really have difficulties getting the attention of the staffs which is one point I personally appreciate.
We ordered Caesar Salad ($10) , Beer Battered Fish and Chips ($16), Carbonara ($14), and a Truffle Fries ($10) to start off with. The Caesar Salad was nothing impressive. Beer and Battered Fish and Chips were ok. The Carbonara was good, the generosity of the amount of bacon and mushrooms were nice. I love the Truffle Fries!
Shuffle features different live bands for different nights. The songs they perform are mainly in Mandarin. Bands playing includes iPED , LGF , etc. Mostly performed genre is acoustic. Bands usually starts playing at 8.30pm and second band will take over at 11.30pm.
After some live band performance, we decide to have something more. Therefore we ordered a Lychee Mojito ($13) , Honeydew Beer ($15) , Kronenbourg Blanc ($13) , Glenlivet 18 yrs ($16) , Jacob’s Creek Shirazi ($13) , Jacob’s Creek Riesling ($13) and a Seafood Pizza ($18)
The Pizza was not that fantastic , written on the menu was Thin Crust Pizza however the Crust was still too thick for my preference. Lychee Mojito was not bad but a little more alcohol taste would be better. We didn’t finish the honeydew beer as it wasn’t really a good combination of a beer tasting like honey dew. The rest of the drinks were standard drinks.
I personally enjoy live bands and hanging out just to listen to them sing. I do hope there will be more places like this around in Singapore
