Shrine Lake
Shrine Lake Reviews

This is one of my favorite places in the world. I found it after many a pain-staking search and illegal U-turns, as it's hidden away off of Sunset boulevard and have since brought every visitor to this gorgeous, peaceful oasis located in the middle of Malibu.
It was originally a movie set and the man-made lake and windmill are leftover from the original set. But it has since been turned into a new age retreat. The gardens are free to visit and are filled with the smallest, most surprising and delicious details. Their garden is splended, animals and fish abound in the lake, and there are a dozen or more nooks and crannies where you can be seated and meditate. Up the hill is a large new age temple that I haven't visited. Really a must-see! |
