This tour leaves out of the Marriott Ko Olina and isn't very expensive. really nice older couple leads this tour and takes pictures of you throughout your excursion and sights which they later download and put on a CD for you - a GREAT value add! This gives you the freedom to look around and not have to worry about taking pictures. You will find at the end of the trip that some of your favorite moments are captured.

The tour owners personally run the tours and are knowledgeable, respectful of the environment and history and are just very sweet. Some of my favorite moments on this all day tour are 1) stopping at a turtle beach (no turtles on my day, unfortunately) 2) Giovanni's Shrimp Shack tour! YUMMY! 3) stopping at a fresh fruit stand on the road 4) the cool/cheaper gift shops the owner knows of, where they will give you free stuff with purchase!

Malasadas are...as I have been told...deep fried dough covered in sugar (doughnuts) brought to the islands by Portuguese immigrants. They are best when fresh! Next time you are in Oahu, go to Leonard's Bakery.

Any trip to Oahu has to include a Shrimp Shack stop, Matsumotos, and Leonard's malasadas!
