Delhi is jam-packed with markets, shops, and malls and everyone will want to sell you something. It can be stressful and exhausting if you start to let yourself feel like prey, but it can also be a fun way to experience the vibrant street culture of the city, and come back with some awesome souvenirs! Our favorite places for trinkets were Janpath (a street that spreads from Connaught Place) and the Dilli Haat market (with a small entry fee that seems to ward off unpleasantries). Just remind them that "to look is free" and NEVER pay the price that they ask (even if it's on a price tag, or allegedly "fixed").
