Shiro is a popular restaurant in Burke, VA, featuring the teppanyaki style of food preparation first introduced in the USA by Benihana. Diners are seated in groups of eight around a grill (or teppan) where the chef prepares the food in a show of skill. As in similar restaurants,the chef's performance and banter is a signficant part of the dining experience. The chefs at Shiro do put on a good show: flipping utensils in the air, creating the flaming onion volcano, and tossing a shrimp at each diner!

How is the food? Quite good in fact. Featured courses are Hibachi or Teriyaki Chiken or Steak and Hibachi Shrimp, Scallops, or Salmon. Entrees include a Japanese onion soup, a salad, vegetables, and fried or steamed rice. (Fried rice is recommended as the chef will prepare it for you on the grill.) Sushi, Gyoza (dumplings), and Shrimp or Vegetable Tempura, are among the appetizers available.

Shiro also has a separate Sushi Bar where freshly prepared Sushi may be selected. (Sushi Bar meals include miso soup and salad.)

Reservations are recommended as this popular restaurant is often crowded.

Is it expensive this kind of place in Japan is very expensive but of corse very good quality food

Hi, Najma, Shiro doesn't have snake on the menu. (Sounds interesting!) Lobster Tail is a seasonal addition to the above menu choices.

Do they have snake food, i think it is called kamasaki, i'm not sure but i ate it in a Japanesz resturant in Emarates it was yum yum, before I know it is a snake flesh :)
