Shiraz is a main destination for both national and international tourists due to its numerous attractions. Shiraz is located at south of Iran, and there is about one hour flight from Tehran.
The main attraction for international tourists is the Persepolis, an ancient heritage backs to 2,500 years ago. Persepolis was the capital of Persian in Hakhamaneshi era, which was ruined by Alexander the Great. However, the remains of this historical city is still available for visitors.
There are numerous attractions in Shiraz, comparable to Isfahan. The tombs of two famous Iranian poets namely Hafez and Sadi are among them.
The nature of Shiraz is of particular interest, as it is known as the city of gardens. The best time to enjoy this feature is during April - June.
