If you're looking for a good night out in Barbados, The Saint Lawrence
Gap is usually the best place to be. Thursday nights are especially good for checking out The Ship Inn, where, for a $10 Bajan ($5 US) cover, you can listen to one of the more popular local "bands", Strategy. Strategy is a "cover band", meaning they cover any and all popular Caribbean and American hip-hop, rap, and reggae artists. The crowd at this club is usually half tourist, half local, with a large student population on Thursday nights when students with passes get free entry. There is both an inside and outside bar and stage area for band(s) in case the weather turns rainy.
