This hotel is actually in Sarangkot. It is only a couple minutes from the military base from where most sunrise pictures of the himalayas are taken. It actually has it's own "place" to take pictures from but an unobstructed view of the range cannot be obtained from here.

Stayed here one night to avoid getting up so early to catch the sunrise. Paid 500 rupees (not cheap but not bad). The place was desolate. Nice facility, but nobody there at all. Avoid eating here. The food was poor, took forever, and they were out of most things anyhow. But it was worth it, because I woke up and minutes later I was taking pictures. Just eat before you hike up. There is a great place to get breakfast at Lake View Lodge just a couple minutes from the military base. The best tibetan bread we had the entire trip.
