Sheraton Resort Sanya

Wow, what a place! Stayed here in Late November/Early December, 2006.

The Sheraton Resort Sanya is one of the nicest resort hotels in Yalong Bay National Resort District in Sanya, Hainan Island.

The hotel was paradise! From the elaborate lobby, to the exquisite rooms, to the outstanding restaurants, to the elegant bar. This hotel was (is?) the home of the Miss World pageant, and you can easily see why! With a beautiful beach offering recreational activities and sculpted grounds to wander, there is something here for everyone! And price-wise, it is well worth the money!

Yalong Bay is not exactly in the vicinity of town, so if you want to visit Sanya city or the sights around Sanya, you will need to take a taxi. These can be arranged via the hotel, and you can even arrange for a car for the entire day for a flat rate to take you to all the locations you wish to see.

Sanya is the Hawaii of China. If you have a chance to visit, I would highly recommend it. And if you do, I would highly recommend this hotel!

I've been there for 3 nights last year. Almost everything there was excellent except the inconvenient trafic. that's the reason I just give the 4 stars for the location. Yes, actually the resort faces to the beach, but if We wanted to have a taste of the local seafood, we have to take a taxi which took 30mins to the city center.
However, the resort is surrounded by thoundsands of tropical foliages. It has a pretty nice garden view. I tried the garden view suite and next time i will try its suite which you can access to the swimming pool directly. :D
