Sheraton Old San Juan Hotel & Casino

The Sheraton Old San Juan and Casino was a great hotel due to it's location in Old San Juan. We were close to restaurants and shops. However, there weren't that many amenities. The pool area was tiny. The gym was closed due to renovations. It was a bit difficult to find street parking but we always managed even if we had to walk a few blocks. The parking at the hotel was $21.50 and valet only so after tipping, it was a bit more. I got a parking ticket on the street and it only costed me $15.

The concierge was not helpful, he wasn't local so he really didn't know his way around San Juan or Puerto Rico. The front desk staff was a bit rude. We denied house keeping in order to get the 5 dollar vouchers a night, these vouchers were good for the hotel restaurants or their rewards program.

So we decided to charge a hotel restaurant (Palio - Tuscan Restaurant) meal to our room and when we checked out, we tried using the vouchers, they said we had to use them at the restaurant, yet, none of this was explained and they didn't want to take the measly $15 dollars off! Customer Service is terrible. They charge us a service fee every night, we declined housekeeping services, and they didn't even want to credit anything back.

You don't get bath robes, mouthwash, or toothpaste. For the service and amenities, I should have booked somewhere else for less. Although, the hotel's location was great.
