Peace and Relaxation! Jan 05, 2009
If you are looking for a relaxing place to stay you have to stay at Sheraton Mirage. It is right on the beach and it has 6 lagoons and a chlorine swimming pool. They have a couple restaurants, spa, bakery, laundry, pool bar & much more. The room was big and the staff was very helpful. The price includes valet parking which they keep your car while you are on site. Some might not like that but it was OK for us. The breakfast is WONDERFUL all the food we had there was delicious. They also have a huge information and booking center. We loved our stay at Mirage Port Douglas!

Its up past Cairns but worth the spin. Got a ferry accross the river to the cape which is a national park. Covered with rainforests that run down to the sea. Packed with Stingers and Crocs so decided against going for a dip.… Cape Tribulation |

Port Douglas is a lovely tropical boutique town about 1 hours drive north of Cairns via a spectacular coastal road. Port has lovely beaches, boutique shops, restaurants and is closer to the Great Barrier Reef than Cairns! We spent 3 days…… Port Douglas and Mossman Gorge |
