Maria's Sheraton Jun 03, 2012
This time around it was time again to sleep in style. Friend of mine had lots of miles that could be used in any Westin hotels, and Sheraton Maria Isabel was in the same hotel family, so we crashed there for few days. It was a bit of a sharp contrast to go back to the hotel with all possible goodies after being backpacking the Yucatan peninsula. Almost immediately upon arrival I got really sick with high temperature and works, so sleeping in the good bed and having perfect bathtub helped a bit.

Sheraton is right next to US Embassy which was a bit of annoying matter due to big demonstrations that were happening in the middle of the street and huge security detail armed with guns, rifles and sharp looks to anyone passing by… Aside of that, location is very central, on Av. Reforma, right next to the “El Angel” monument and right across good restaurants and clubs of zona Rosa.

Breakfast is served on one of the high floors with great view of the monument and morning traffic. I also used pool on the roof top and excellent gym.

In general it is a good hotel, building is a bit old but that can be issue only in the lobby area which is a bit cold. Probably that is why they have Starbucks Coffee shop strategically located in the shops area…
Going from the metro to the hotel …
Dream shop
They just dont build doors my size…

Centrally Located May 21, 2011
I've stayed at the Sheraton Maria Isabel three times now. I like staying there and would recommend it.

The best thing about the hotel is it's location. It's located next to the US Embassy and the Angel of Independence (Ángel de la Independencia) in the Zona Rosa. There are many nice restaurants and cafes within walking distance. Zona Rosa is known as the center of gay life in Mexico City but don't worry, there are tons of tourists and businesses. Everyone is welcome.

The hotel itself is just average in my opinion. The staff is always friendly and attentive however the hotel is quite old. It's been remodeled and has everything you need (Wifi, flat-screen tvs, business area in the lounge/bar with several computers to use for free).

Great Stay Mar 05, 2011
This hotel was in an excellent area for getting around. Concierge helped us tremendously on our second day when we wanted to go sight seeing. We would have paid much more to get a private taxi, we instead were informed to take a tour with a small group of 7 others (total of 9) to visit Teotihuacan pyramids and Our Lady of Guadalupe church for only ~30 dollars, which included transportation and a personal guide. This made our trip. We would have not seen as much as we did if it hadn't been for the friendly staff.
