Shell Fest (after Jazzfest)

i have been going to jazzfest for years and i have never been to shell fest until this year. it was such a pleasant experience. basically, after jazzfest, people would congregate at a shell gas station on esplanade and carrollton and basically shut the gas station down. there's loud music playing (no bands) and people would dance, drink, mingle, jump rope, throw around beach balls, whatever. there's also a shower/mister (more like a shower, really) to freshen up after the humidity and heat during the day at jazzfest. there were random contests like prettiest feet (which could be challenging after a really long day at jazzfest walking around in the heat). this is for people who don't want the festivities to end. like jazzfest, people of all ages go. this was definitely a blast!!!!
