Sheep Island View Ballycastle Reviews
a cozy hostel with a beautiful view to the sea Jul 21, 2008
The hostel is situated in a small town called Ballintoy. It's a small but a very beautiful place and there's a frequent bus connection service to the Giant's causeway and the Carrick-a-Rede rope bridge during the summer months.
You really need a car to reach Ballintoy, because the public transportation from major cities such as Belfast and Derry is bad. Luckily, the hostel offers a free pick up service for customers who don't have a car and who are coming from the towns of Ballycastle, Portrush, Bushmills and the Giants Causeway.
The hostel itself is very charming it's clean and rather quiet. There's a spacious living room where one can watch TV or relax beside the fire. Also the kitchen is nice and well equipped, but if you want to cook there you need to bring your own food with you, because there's no shop to buy food close by. There are some bars and restaurants close by though, but they are rather expensive. Unfortunately, the hostel doesn't serve breakfast, but there are bars that serve full Irish breakfast.
