Shediac Overview

Many years ago the the Shedia area, in south eastern New Brunswick was inhabited by the Mi'kmaq indian nation . Settlement by the Frech Acadians was around 1749.
Today it is a seaside resort town with a year around population of some 6,500 inhabitants. However the summer population likey triples that as city dwellers and tourists come to experience the warmest water north of the Carolinas. In addition the Shediac Lobster Festival in early July is a huge draw. it is a summer beach atmosphere.
