Shawarma House Riyadh Reviews
Shawarma House Apr 28, 2013
Everyone knows shawarma. Everyone likes sharawma
You can order:
* smaller shawarma sandwich
* large (called Sarookh, i.e. Rocket)
* Shawarma platter.
Also available are grilled meats, falafel (individual or sandwich form) served with salads and hummus.
Salads served include Tabboula (good), and Girgir (Arugula). The pickled vegetables they serve on the side taste a bit too chemical for my evolved taste.
There is a separate juices counter - with a variety of fruits. Most popular one is traditionally known as 'cocktail'. These are continuously made, topped up and just poured for any order appearing over their network.
If you want to place an order they take it at the cash register OR ... the waiters carry Galaxy Tabs connected via wifi...
You could also order by phone and get delivery if you live reasonably nearby. Many people stop by and park and place your order and wait. This road (Prince Mamdouh Ibn Abdulaziz Rd) gets congested just because of several people in their cars waiting for their order. A police car occasionally patrols the area warning customers to either park and go in or make rounds until their order is ready.
Seating inside or on the patio (with outdoor humidifiers for the hot and dry summers) only for men. This restaurant is not quite ready for families.
