Shaurma
Shaurma Reviews

Right next to a tiny grocery store on Bolshoi Zlatoustinsky pereulok (in front of a playground, at the junction with Luchnikov pereulok), there is a shaurma stand. Shaurma is like Russian kebab. Shaurma comes in different forms. For instance, it may be served with pita, filled with meat and vegetables. It may be served like salad on a plate. This stand offers wrapped shaurma. Unlike pita, meat and vegerables are rolled with wrap.
Shaurma is kind of deceiving because you initially think it is small, but when you actually start eating it, you find out that it is quite filling. I could hardly finish mine. And it makes such a mess, so be sure to obtain extra kleenex ("salfetki" in Russian) at the stall. Part of the Russia travel blog |
