Shanghai and Beijing ..the two faces of China Reviews

Jul 16, 2007
Shanghai and Beijing.. they are like the Milan and Rome of China (what a comparison!) cause Shanghai is the modern face, the business capital while Beijing is the governative town... China is a country rich of traditions that the young Chinese don't really care to much of, being in the middle of the economic boom.
Everybody in this period seems busy keeping high the name of China as the world's centre of economics nowadays, so the ancient traditions seem a bit lost..in the traffic and the pollution too..
One of the most incredible things seen were the original gingseng roots sold at incredible prices (up to 500000Euros)in the drugstore department of a superstore. Then the amazing restaurants where you could taste the Beijing-style roasted duck ..

The Chinese highway !

The Bar Rouge..Shanghai nightlife!!

I believe that the reason Chinese don't care about the traditions mostly is the education.
