Thankfully not too many people make it out to Shag Point, but for those who do the rewards are great. It is on the east coast of South Island, New Zealand, not too far from Dunedin, but far enough off the beaten track that few venture out. It is so called for the shags, a sea bird, that are found here. Also here are colonies of seals and yellow penguins. Simply yet another point to come and view nature at it's best.
